How to Install The Alta
The Alta installs using a French cleat system.
One cleat is already attached to the back of the piece, and the matching cleat is included for wall installation.
When properly installed, this system provides a strong, stable hold while keeping the hardware hidden.
What You Will Need
- Drill
- Level
- Tape measure
- Pencil
- Screws appropriate for your wall type
- Wall anchors if needed
Before You Start
Choose the desired height and position for The Alta.
Make sure the wall surface is suitable for mounting.
For best results, install the wall cleat into wall studs whenever possible.
Step 1 – Mark the Position
Hold the included wall cleat against the wall where you want to install the piece.
Use a level to make sure the cleat is perfectly straight, then mark the screw locations with a pencil.
Step 2 – Prepare the Wall
If mounting into studs, drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
If no stud is available, use appropriate wall anchors rated for the weight of the piece and its intended use.
Step 3 – Install the Wall Cleat
Attach the included wall cleat to the wall using suitable screws.
Make sure it is:
- level
- securely fastened
- flush against the wall
This step is important, as the wall cleat will support the full weight of the piece.
Step 4 – Hang The Alta
Lift The Alta and align the cleat attached to the back of the piece with the wall cleat.
Lower it gently until both cleats lock together.
The piece should sit securely against the wall with the mounting system fully hidden.
Step 5 – Final Check
Confirm that The Alta is level and properly seated on the cleat.
Apply light downward pressure to ensure it is fully engaged and stable before use.
